Bruce has a long history in the motor trade, and stepped into the role of Branch Manager in the winter of 2023.
He brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, ensuring the motoring public has an excellent experience at Bowater Hyundai.
In his spare time Bruce is a fan of restoring classic cars, and always has a couple of projects on the go.

Matt has rejoined the Bowater Motor Group team in Autumn 2019 after 5 years away. Prior to that he was at Bowater Honda for 8 years, leaving the role as Sales Manager. He has a wealth of knowledge of cars, and is very excited to be back in the building he knows so well. He is very impressed with the Hyundai range of vehicles and is looking forward to reconnecting with the Hyundai customers.

Marcel has been in the car industry since the late 1990's, as a sales consultant, fleet manager and sales manager. He has also spent around 4 and a half years in real estate, so is well versed in providing advice and support when buying your most valuable assets. He and his wife moved to Nelson in 2017 just before the birth to their 3rd child. He lives in Richmond with his wife, 3 gorgeous children and their Chihuahua cross, Peanut, whom they adopted from the SPCA in 2019. Listening to music is a passion (especially live in concert) and watching most sports, and spending as much time as he can with his family.

Nic joined the team in March of 2024 and is looking forward to learning the ins and outs of the automotive industry. Nic will be familiar to many, having been a stalwart of the NBS Nelson Giants for over a decade, and a regular out and about in many of the NBS Nelson Giants many community programmes at the local schools.
Nic's work ethic and discipline are sure to shine through and we are looking forward to helping Nic forge a career with us at Bowaters.

Van is originally from Myanmar and moved to Nelson with his family in 2010 to start a new life.
He began working in the Bowater Hyundai workshop in early 2015 and has settled into the busy team environment and can always be found with a cheeky wide smile and an infectious laugh!
Van is very keen on cars and will always be the one happy to help when it comes time to move cars to and from an event - he is super keen on learning and the more times he can get behind the wheel he happier he is.
Van's passion for the Hyundai brand is very evident and he enjoys the support from a very encompassing national training centre that all of our technicians regularly attend as they collectively further both knowledge and advances in technology and diagnostics.

This week Bowater Hyundai have had an early release Hyundai Kona EV for test drives. Congrats to all those on the list that got to experience the future. Very seductive and alluring. Bowater Hyundai - the story so far
The Bowater Motor Group sought out and purchased the Hyundai Dealership back in March 2007 when Hyundai was relatively unknown in the New Zealand market. The knowledge and expertise our long history in the automotive business brings us is the ability to recognise an opportunity when we see one - and this was the case with the Hyundai franchise. At the time Hyundai was emerging as a strong performer, now it is a world leader, and we are excited to be able to offer these vehicles to the wider Nelson community. We set up shop in Hardy Street and started selling Hyundai's like hotcakes! Now we have the main showroom on the corner of Rutherford & Hardy Streets and another sales yard directly opposite across the road on Hardy Street.
Our Service department, located at the rear of the showroom, is state of the art, with a long serving team of technicians that know all of the ins and outs of the Hyundai range. Their knowledge is not limited to Hyundai's however, they are comfortable servicing all makes and models. Come and see the Parts & Service team, there is plenty of parking on Kerr Street, as well as our own Bowater Hyundai parking accessed off Kerr Street.
