Man Day 2013 - off road adventure time at Happy Valley for all.
The Return of Man Day to the familiar stomping ground of Happy Valley Adventures on Saturday October the 19th celebrates 30 glorious years as Hilux being the countries number one best selling ute, as well as the chance for everyone to really experience what the Bowater Toyota off road range is truly capable of.
We have prepared a very demanding off road course that includes rivers, river beds, muddy banks, steep hill work and some serious undulations - all of the kinds of situations you would expect in off road adventures. We have coupled this with the skill and mentoring of the knowledgeable team from Makoura 4WD Trainers who will be with us on the day giving advice and some demonstrations on vehicle recovery and off road technique amongst other things.
Radio Hauraki's night time host Mr Mikey Havoc is coming down to Nelson especially for the event, and is sure to inject some humour and tomfoolery into the day. Everyone is invited, it will be very family friendly and we will even lay on a BBQ lunch!

Our last ManDay was held back in October 2011 to celebrate the launch of the new generation of Hilux; a Hilux packed full of technology and advancements that dramatically increased it's off road capabilities whilst not detracting from it's improved highway performance.
At that ManDay we put the various generations of Hilux through their paces, as well as all being most suitably inpressed by the incredible Toyota FJ Cruiser. That off roader is a star performer, and fully designed to gobble up and dominate terrain other vehicles would shy away from.
The amazing Toyota FJ Cruiser all geared up with the best accessories - roofracks, snorkel, bullbars, a lift kit and some very serious tyres.
Our first ManDay was such a hit, we have been waiting for the guys at Makoura 4WD Trainers to be available again. Their recovery demonstrations were a real hit, and their advice around the off road course was invaluable.

What is the catch we hear you ask?
There is none. Infact if you are in the market for a rugged, reliable and high resellable Toyota 4WD then this event is a must on your calendar. As well as the opportunity to get around the course and experience what these off roaders are capable of, we will have some very sharp deals and some very sharp pencils, so come prepared to talk turkey, possibly eat some turkey, have some fun and perhaps sort yourself out in a vehicle you have been thinking about.
The last ManDay was a real eye opener, we all got to see just what the new generation Hilux was truly capable of compared to the generation it replaced, some older bushbashers and even the mighty FJ Cruiser.
