Amercia's Toughest Truck is the mighty Toyota Hilux
Top Gear USA has a go at the Toughest Truck in America Challenge.
Last year the Top Gear USA team ran their very own Toughest Truck Challenge on their show. Perhaps they were trying to emulate some of the great top Gear Challenges of old, like the North Pole Challenge, which features the mighty Toyota Hilux driven by Jeremy & James conquering a traditional dog sled team with Richard Hammond holding on for dear life, on a race to the North Pole. If you haven't seen this it is a must see.
Back to the actual story.... The Top Gear USA team are tasked by producers to buy an American truck with over 100,000 miles on the clock for around USD$3000 and they head up to Alaska to test who has chosen the toughest truck. The fascinating part of it is that they admit at 4.44 that the Toyota Hilux is the toughest of them all.
