Come along to Bowater Toyota at the corner of Rutherford and Halifax Street to enjoy our free BBQ, and watch some of the talent as they get ready for Friday's auditions at The Nelson School of Music for NZ's Got Talent.
It is all on - the grill that is!
There will be spot prizes and a chance to win a trip to see NZ's Got Talent in Wellington.
If you are keen to practice your audition, meet other budding contestants or chat to the Classic Hits crew come down and enjoy some free BBQ from 12-1pm.
You’ll also have an exclusive chance to go in the draw to win a family trip to Wellington to be part of the audience for the 2012 NZ’s Got Talent decider show. To go in the draw you need to collect a special code from the Classic Hits crew – look out for them in their talent tour sign-written Hilux!
Top Gear USA has a go at the Toughest Truck in America Challenge.Last year the Top Gear USA team ran their very own Toughest Truck Challenge on their show. Perhaps they were trying to emulate some of the great top Gear Challenges of old, like the North Pole Challenge, which features the mighty Toyota Hilux driven by Jeremy & James conquering a traditional dog sled team with Richard Hammond holding on for dear life, on a race to the North Pole. If you haven't seen this it is a must see.
Back to the actual story.... The Top Gear USA team are tasked by producers to buy an American truck with over 100,000 miles on the clock for around USD$3000 and they head up to Alaska to test who has chosen the toughest truck. Adam from Mediaworks came by and took the Prius Challenge - and suprised everyone including himself with a very respectable 4th place on the Leaderboard - but most importantly he is the actual leader once you take out the staff entries!
The Toyota Talent Tour is coming to Nelson.
This Thursday between 12-1pm Bowater Toyota are hosting a lunchtime show so that those that wish to try out their performances can do so in front of a "friendly crowd" before they audition for NZ's Got Talent on Friday.
